Medieval Village 'Am Frevelgraben' Abandoned Without Fire or Destruction Uncovered Near Halberstadt

Excavations east of Halberstadt, Germany have confirmed a deserted medieval settlement with rows of sunken pit houses, two wells, and boundary ditches. Despite excellent preservation, almost no artifacts remain, suggesting residents deliberately took belongings when they left, around 1250-1500.
