Mystery Statue Unearthed at Sardis Archaeological Dig

Archaeologists with the Harvard-Cornell Archaeological Exploration of Sardis in Turkey uncovered a marble statue of a young man, over 7 feet tall and nearly 2,500 years old. Found broken and reused as paving on a Roman avenue, it shows rare archaic Lydian sculptural style.
