Scholars Reconstruct 1,600-Year-Old Roman Legal Text Found in Egypt

A University of Cincinnati classicist pieced together a previously unknown Roman legal document from parchment fragments recovered from Egypt and held at the Penn Museum since 1911. The reconstructed text, dated to the 4th century AD, covers taxation and public infrastructure rules.
