Possible Early Human Ancestor Femur Uncovered in the Balkans

A femur from southern Bulgaria has been linked by researchers to Graecopithecus, a contested early hominin candidate dated to around 7.2 million years ago. The discovery fuels debate over the geographic setting of early human evolution.
